I knew Jen when she was working at Treasure Island.  Jen was a vital part of improving an ever changing department.  She helped to reduce a complaint driven department to a department that helped residents through a stressful antiquated system by providing recommendations to improve the system.  These recommendations were all approved by the entire staff and implemented with resounding results.  

I know that Jen will take that passion of helping people and improving processes and situations into her role as Gulfport's Ward 1 City Councilwoman.

Jennifer is not only a great friend, but working with her was an absolute pleasure. When I learned she was looking for a job, I was beyond excited because I knew she would be the best possible addition to any team.

She managed the rental department at an orthopedic tool company, working directly with dozens of medical professionals. Her responsibilities included scheduling and coordinating logistics, solving issues, and providing all kinds of support to her colleagues. Jennifer was everyone’s go-to person when something seemed overwhelming or when arrangements felt impossible. Her exceptional organizational, coordination, multitasking, and communication skills were always the key to getting things done.

Jennifer takes every problem to heart and treats it as her own. She excelled in her role, earning quick promotions, yet chose to leave and return to public service—a true testament to her selflessness. She has no personal agenda; her only goal is to help those around her, and I can confidently say she delivers outstanding results.

Having known Jennifer for 7+ years as both a friend and a former colleague, I have seen firsthand her deep-rooted love for her community and her tireless dedication to making Gulfport the best place to live, work, and play.

Gulfport is a special place—it’s defined by its "Old Florida" charm, its vibrant arts scene, and the way neighbors truly look out for one another. Jennifer doesn’t just live here; she is an active part of the fabric that makes her town unique. Whether she is participating in beach cleanups, or supporting local small businesses, Jennifer’s priority is always the well-being of her residents.

What stands out most about Jennifer is her ability to listen. She understands that a City Council member’s job is to be a voice for the people. I have watched her:

Jennifer, after speaking to you last week, I cannot imagine you not making this happen for us. I’m not a Gulfport resident. I’m a Cleveland resident. We miss Jen and Bob in our community. I’m happy they found their home in Gulfport. These two helped our community, and myself personally in so many emergency situations. I’ve known Jen all of her life. She is strong, compassionate, intelligent, and empathetic. Jen walked me through some emergency situations with homeless people, rape victims, and general knowledge of services that even after years-I was not aware of. She and her husband did soooo many things for your community after the last hurricane that I can’t even list them all. I wish she would post those things, but she is humble and did those things from her heart. I sure wish she was running here in Cleveland!!! I do know that she is absolutely the BEST!!!
